If you look behind Chris, Dylan is in the back seat. Very confused. We spread 14 loads of mulch. Needless to say I didn't go to Curves those 2 days.

My garden is coming along. My water feature became a whimsical bird sanctuary.

Florida Visit

Trevor stopped off in Denver and the three of us continued on to Dunedin.  Had a great time with Alba and Dano who were also there for the weekend to celebrate Pa's 85th birthday!!

The famous Melissa Dickens stopped by one evening to say hello to Nana and Pa and the rest of the gang.
Our one half sunny day at the pool.  We had to show off for Pa so we did a poolside 100 burpees for time.  Nana beat us all.
Trevor dresses up for Pa's 85th birthday dinner.  Nana and Pa had not yet seen him in uniform!
The most popular napping spot in Nana and Pa's apartment.  Trevor made good use of Nana and Pa's new couch.
Eric and Nana work on a crossword puzzle, poolside.

Nana and Pa 1-20-09

McDonalds and Nana and Pa watching the inauguration. We had hot dogs, baked beans and apple pie. Yvonne stayed and watched with us. It was very cool and I cried a couple of times.

No Pics

So I just figured I have to email myself my iPhone pictures. I thought I could just sync the phone but it doesn't give me pictures just unreadable files. Not sure what the iPhone cache is worth. Tomorrow or Wednesday I will really blog!

Winter Fire

A winter forrest fire came within a 1/2 mile of our house about two weeks ago. 90 mph winds, warm temperatures, and dry climate made it possible. The Boulder County Rural Fire Department did an AMAZING job of protecting a neighborhood on the northern side of the fire.

The plan that didn't work.

I will send the files tonight, pdfs don't upload so I couldn't upload the picture I wanted. The excitement, caution, planning, fear and just plain craziness going on here is amazing.

On the way to the airport.

Nicole and Trevor. The holiday picture.

I need to remember to take pictures during the day to post. Seed Exchange is our big focus right now. Asked Cathal Armstrong to host the AHS Gala. Hope he will.

Cross Country Ski Lessons

XC skiing at Keystone!  The dogs tagged along and were worn out by 9.  Finished the day off with breakfast for dinner.

Cousins

Cam and I are making a calendar and look what we found! Not sure about the child front and center. We had fun looking at the old photographs.

We took the Christmas tree down yesterday and tried to put the house back in order. I can't remember or don't want to remember where things were, so now I need a decorator.

Busy week at home and work then off to Florida. Looking for warm and sunny.

Trevor's boxes ready for the UPS man. Nicole and Eric had a double shipment, 3 on Monday and 1 today. It will be Christmas all over again. Dylan managed pull the can of cocoa powder out of the box, open it (not so carefully), she didn't like it once she found out there was no sugar involved. It is taped up and heading to Boulder.
